Doors now open to CMID’s new journal

The Interior Dispatch - Charlotte Minty Interior Design - DOORS NOW OPEN TO CMID’S NEW JOURNAL

Herd Street Office

Welcome to The Interior Dispatch, CMID’s new journal about all things in and around interior design. Here we offer regular stories, insights and opinions about design that interest, excite and inform us.

By subscribing to CMID, you can receive timely notification of new journal entries.

The Interior Dispatch is about bringing readers closer to CMID by pushing out into the wider world of design.

The journal is also an expression of CMID’s growth and expanded sense of purpose.  Our studio saw some big changes in 2021.  We enlarged the creative team and moved into product design and sales – all the while keeping true to our own design point-of-view.  Those changes, now bedded in, means that 2022 is shaping up to be a busy year for CMID.

In times of uncertainty and disruption, such as we are all presently experiencing in one form or another, one’s home often acquires greater meaning to its owners and inhabitants.  As always, CMID stands ready to support our clients’ desire to make their homes a better version of itself for now and into the future.  That same attitude applies to our commercial clients as they strive to improve their businesses through good interior design.

These challenging times have, of course, struck the building industry with a number of headwinds.  CMID is aided in weathering these conditions by virtue of the fact that we have wonderful and committed builders, tradespeople and suppliers to call on for our projects.  As Charlotte readily acknowledges, CMID is not just our talented design team – it’s the sum of our broader network of professionals with whom we have worked alongside for years with great joy and satisfaction.

This year will also see Minty and Company – our new online interior product store – continue to fill its virtual shelves with new stock.  The new enterprise was conceived on the idea that good interiors deserve good products.  Influential also was Charlotte’s view – in her 18 years as an interior designer – that our current and planned product range will fit the bill in many homes and businesses.

Chapter One

Our first story takes readers to turn-of-the century London, a time when Charlotte happened to meet a design hero – a well-known architect who has had a lasting effect on her career.

A future edition will feature our chat with the Danish owners and designers of the stunning sporting lodge located in the Scottish Highlands.  Also coming up is a piece about the visionary work of a celebrated Norwegian architectural design studio - whose owner delivered a talk in Wellington.

So ready your bookmarks and with whistles hopefully whet, please enjoy The Interior Dispatch.
